The superabundance of new application areas for Internet-­connected­-automation is leading to a generation with multifunctional devices robotized to function and become a powerful commander of the multidimensional game­LIFE! Internet of things ­IoT’s nomenclature has theiot1 most important compound as THINGS which are any natural or man ­made objects, devices and sensors, that can be assigned an IP address and provided with the ability to connect and transfer data over a network. So far, IoT has been most closely associated with machine­-to­-machine (M2M) communication in manufacturing, power, oil and gas utilities. Products built with M2M communication capabilities are often referred to as being smart(consider smart watch). IoT does not need to be complicated, doesn’t have to be about billions or trillions of devices. IoT is here today, and it’s a practical and applicable technology trend which can give us ­Ease of Life or Chase of life.

Today computers and, therefore, the Internet are almost wholly dependent on human beings for information and vice versa, which before was first captured and created by us humans by typing, pressing a record button, taking a digital picture or scanning a barcode. Now there is a rush to encode/decode every possible DATA­ make it readable­store it ­imply it onto several other devices­ harnessing the data to create powerful humane aids. Data is what drives THINGS into a successful demeanor where THINGS can efficiently tap into these data streams and connect them to the cloud and back­end systems, producing large amounts of information. This data may arrive at the doorstep predictably and structured, but it may also knock on the door in the middle of the night unexpectedly in different formats, values, retention, requirements, and traffic patterns from different sources and across different protocols.



Now this is where BIG DATA and CLOUD comes into the circle, being the paramount in using the power and potential of IoT. Big data is the collection of data sets, large and complex; Cloud iot3 gives the ability to store and process scalable and significant amounts of data, cloud also enables more data to be unlocked by enabling data to be pulled in from different sources and across different line ­of­ business assets and devices, this data may arrive structured, unstructured or somewhere in between, regularly or intermittently. Despite this variability, by providing a framework for the data, we can automate—through filters, rules, triggers or other means—the intelligent processing of that data. IoT represents an immense opportunity by unlocking the insights and data like Diagnostic images from a CT ­scan or Point­ of ­sale scanners on a retail floor connected to warehouse systems and analytics software or probably Robots on a factory floor which can send production and maintenance information directly to those who need it, for unparalleled reliability and up-time.

Being able to weave together and act on all four sources of data – from the supply chain, premises, the product and iot4customers themselves will be a big challenge for IoT. IPv6’s huge increase in address space is an important factor in the development of IoT. The number of smart nodes, as well as the amount of upstream data the nodes generate, is expected to raise new concerns about data privacy, data sovereignty and security. the main concerns that accompany IoT are the breach of privacy, over­reliance on technology, and the loss of jobs which will raise the global temperatures in every way it can. This attitude of technology ­getting­ over­ Life could lead to devastation if assuming that systems could be robust or fault­free which is not going to happen with the machines. With the mobile phone companies giving up on storing huge data of the phone which is a very costly affair, it is very burdensome to expect that almost 50 billion devices will be connected, collecting and storing data.


How to make all this possible and fit in the same shoe of current technology? There could also be privacy issues that also leads to the question of who will control IoT or will there be any breach in the consumer’s privacy? From a world of smart cities to a galaxy of security breaches and privacy issues, will INTERNET OF THINGS minimize any iota to the already existing chase of life or will it just rob every iota from ease of life?
